You are probably surprised to see a “Learn-to-Sail” link in a sailing vacation-party or corporate event-organizing site. Being sailors ourselves, we believe that sailing benefits our young people in many ways:

• It builds stronger bodies.
• It exercises and sharpens their minds.
• It brings people together, to work together and builds stronger elements of collaboration into their characters (teamwork).
• It broadens the horizons of knowledge.
• It gives you the opportunity to visit more places.
• It opens up a whole new world of recreation and friends.
• It builds confidence and improves elements of leadership into their character.
• By captaining their own boat they become more capable to lead aspects of their own life.
• Exercising competition improves their skills and they become better competitors in the arena of life.
• In general, sailing helps our children become better humans.

Our sincere desire is to enlarge this community, to help prepare our children for a better society, bringing them away from the dangers of our modern civilization, which threatens their lives.

In this part of our site we will list Sailing Schools operating in New York City, Long Island, and all along the East Coast from Annapolis, Maryland to the northern end of New England, helping our children and the grownups of our community to learn sailing and build stronger bodies and souls, becoming better human beings.
